SONS FOR THESE SYMPTOMS.
• SOME HUBS DESIGNS ARE REQUIRED TO BE PRELOADED FROM THE FACTORY
WHICH RESULTS IN THE HUBS FEELING TIGHT TO TURN BY HAND. WHEN THE HUB
IS FITTED AND TENSIONED CORRECTLY TO THE VEHICLE IT WILL FUNCTION AS
REQUIRED.
• THE SEALS INSIDE THE HUB CAN ALSO MAKE THE HUB FEEL TIGHT TO TURN BY
• HAND, HOWEVER AFTER A FEW ROTATIONS UNDER LOAD AFTER FITMENT TO
THE VEHICLE THE SEALS QUICKLY RECESS AND THE HUB WILL FUNCTION AS RE-
QUIRED.
• GSP USES GREASE THAT IS SPECIALLY FORMULATED FOR GENERATION 2 AND 3
WHEEL BEARING HUB ASSEMBLIES. A KNOTCHY/ROUGH FEEL WHEN THE HUB
IS ROTATED BY HAND CAN ALSO BE BECAUSE OF THE GREASE FORMULATION
HARDENING WHILST THE HUB IS IN STORAGE OR THE LARGER PARTICLES IN THE
SPECIALLY FORMULATED GREASE HAVE NOT YET BEEN SUBJECT TO THE ROTA-
TION AND HEAT THAT IS REQUIRED TO ENABLE THEM TO MIX AND BLEND AS
REQUIRED. IN SUMMARY, WHEN THE HUB IS FITTED AND THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN
THE HUB WILL FUNCTION AS IT SHOULD.
