DIAGNOSING WORN OUT CV COMPONENTS
Check for grease deposits under the vehicle in the vicinity of the CV
Joint.
Remedy- if no noise, suggest check all boots. If boots split or
cracked-remove boots, clean all joints thoroughly, regrease them and
replace with new boot kits.
Verify by driving on a smooth surface testing for noise while turning in
either direction. Remedy- replace outer CV Joint or complete CV Shaft.
Verify by driving on a smooth surface straight ahead putting load on
vehicle. If you detect a vibration or shudder, replace inner CV Joint or
complete CV Shaft.
